Listen to the Lowcarbshow.com weekly podcast podcast.com At lowcarbshow.com our goal is to offer good information to help you lose weight! Vincent Vegan and Marc Sage offer a weekly podcast discussing all of the ongoing things in the diet and weight loss world – we focus mostly on Low Carb and Vegetarianism but we discuss everything – here is something I found on the internet that I thought you guys might enjoy! The world's most beautiful and famous have swallowed his advice. He wrote one of the biggest selling diet books of all time, and it was based on his extraordinary belief that you could eat as much as you desire and still lose weight. His name was Dr Robert Atkins, author of the Atkins new diet revolution. To some Dr Atkins was a hero, to others his diet was scientific heresy and potentially deadly. In a series of ground breaking experiments Horizon investigates the truth behind the most controversial diet in history. Does the Atkins diet really work and is it dangerous?

    Hear hear rk9295!

  2. rk9295 says:

All the government cares about is selling their drug called sugar.

  3. iaretotalsykow says:

dose this mention anything about blood sugar and insulin resistance????

  4. Mehfulloftagforget says:

How about fat loss versus loss of muscle mass, did any of the studies take that into account?

  5. johndela1 says:

chicken eggs are typically not fertilized, how are they abortions? When a woman has her period and is not pregnant, is this too an abortion by your definition? How loud do carrots scream? I mean have you measured this, if so how and by what metric?

  6. ytanalytics says:

They did not measure the crap coming out from behind. Geez. why do they measure urine but not feces? they should measure every single thing.

  7. phoenixliberty says:

but you can take stuff to stop constipation like flax seed

  8. SunderlandAFC1001 says:

the extra calories go up ya arse n 10 doors along LOL

  9. SheaBierman says:

I take low fat over constipation ANY day.

  10. stretchkitty21 says:

wow was this seriously made before they knew that protein makes people feel full longer?

  11. MisterQuebec says:

Where do the extra calories go?

  12. jelketerpstra says:

Just become a raw foodie. I lost 10 kilo’s in 6 months (85 to 75), with a fat percentage drop from 23 to 8. Great for sport as well.

  13. Jeratos says:

ok again this video is crap. they are comparing a low calorie STARVATION diet to Adkins then counting CALORIES to judge if it works or not.. that’s retarded. of course the results will be about even if the other mans starving his ass to death. and the Adkins guy still won… and he’s not starving is he?

  14. koreoh12 says:

Did you know eggs are chicken abortions and carrots scream when they’re pulled from the ground?

  15. podsol99 says:

I think the whole calorie stuff is total crap. On low carb I can eat 3500+ calories without moving my ass away from the pc (no weight gain, I even lose this way). It’s all about the insulin.

  16. lynncrf says:

Low fat and lwo carb might both work but low carb does not leave you HUNGRY ALL THE TIME!!! Plus low carb allows you to sidestep all the diseases of civilisation such as daibetes, heart disease and cancer.

  17. Smallthrill29 says:

Twins doesn’t mean there the same…lol this is stupid. Plus on atkins some people may lose 2 pounds in 3 days and some may lose a amazing 13 pounds during this time…no one is the same. Atkins work and the only thing that worked for me low fat and low amounts of food got me to 305 pounds now am 150…thanks atkins

  18. pmhatefi says:

Perhaps you are right. I don’t think meat is all that expensive though. Seems everything is going up these days. It doesn’t matter what anyone says about Atkins or the low carb craze, I do what works for me and what makes me feel good. And Atkins makes me feel great!! I’ve never had this much energy in my life before.

  19. Steedrider says:

Do you know that meat is the most expensive food and that cattle industry is the biggest food industry in the world? So if there is any conspiracy with food industry then it’s the meat industry APPROVING of Atkins. ;)

  20. gotilk says:

I will say this as well, until the end of time. Ketoacidosis is NOT Ketosis. But since I have no certificate on my wall and I’m not wearing a lab coat, I’m sure I’m wrong.

  21. gotilk says:

Great job on your success. Thanks to low carb I’m now at a lower risk for about a thousand diseases, active in ways I’d never imagined and much happier overall.
People need to learn to look at the larger picture and put things in context. The low carb “arguement” has gone on for so long and has had so many twists and turns, I’d be surprised if anyone could be reasonable about it. Accurate information is buried under FUD and nonsense.

  22. pmhatefi says:

Yeah, you are right. I just wasn’t sure what you meant. I thought you were defending Jebb. Now I get it. Thanks for clearing that up. Atkins is the bomb!!! Have a good day.

  23. lawsonks says:

Think about it – a nutritionist commenting on Atkins and being paid by an organisation that promotes carbohydrate intake – I am sure it’s not that difficult for you to work out.

  24. pmhatefi says:

    Meaning what?
