  2. YES, it’s your choice! Do you want to continue life as a fat person or do you want to take the simple steps, yes I said simple, to becoming a thin person. Once again Jonny gets it right, living low carb will skinny you up, lower your blood sugar, increase your energy level and improve your overall quality of life. As an Author and an advocate of low carb living I can attest personally to the power of the life style and although Jonny and I have different ways of delivering the message we both want only one thing…to teach you, the reader the truth about food and it’s affects on your body.     I thought I knew everything there was to know about the low-carb lifestyle. Jonny Bowden re-educated me via this book. I had no idea low-carb had been around for over 100 years because I believed what too many people had been saying about it being a “fad” diet. He offers compelling evidence to the contrary. Having lived the lifestyle for years, I knew in my heart that it is a totally healthy way to live. I have the blood lipid profiles to prove it. I applaud Jonny for his ability to put that very message across in an easy-to-understand, entertaining and well-researched manner. I found myself laughing out loud in parts! After reading the book, I am now armed with the information I need to keep the non-believers at bay, and maybe even convert a few! Additionally, I have any number of low-carb plans to choose from based on his helpful reviews and research!

    Wow, I spent all weekend reading this book. It is extensive in the history and science behind low carb eating. It goes into great detail that sometimes left me a little overwhelmed but I still appreciated having it there to try and absorb. It might take a few readings to really get all the science. I think it is just a great book to have that also covers all the low carb plans out there today and some older ones too. I suppose I wish there was a spreadsheet of some sort comparing them all but other then that there are pretty extensive reviews on all the plans. You can then go on to pursue those plans individually that you interested in. Just a really great comprehensive low carb book! I will refer to it over and over.

    I’m an average guy with 30 pounds to lose. I got this book from Amazon aweek ago, and I’ve lost four pounds just reading the book: I’ve made just a few minor changes on a daily basis and I’m seeing weight loss. This is NOT a typical “Diet Book.” Dr. Bowden’s text is readable and fun, and he gives you all kinds of ideas about what works and why it does. One year ago I bought his book, The 150 Healthiest Foods on Earth, and since that time I have added many of the foods to my diet and I feel better. (Blueberries, Kale (in soups), walnuts, grass-fed Beef, and Sardines to name a few) Ok, to be honest, I bought the sardines but they are still in the can since I’m a little nervous to try them!

    The bottom line is that in his low-carb book, Dr. Bowden provides the information and strategies that you can use to create a plan that works for you. If you want specifics, he outlines a suggested diet at the end of the book that takes in the best of all the strategies previously published. If you have specific issues, you can read his overviews of all the popular low carb diets and find one that may work for you.

    I also have his book, The 150 Most Effective Ways to Boost Your Energy. It is also a very good read, with lots of great ideas and a more holistic approach to overall health, many of which I have used.

    Dr. Jonny Bowden, keep up the great work doing the heavy research and pulling together such useful knowledge for me!
